FAQs

DO I NEED A CURRENT PASSPORT?

A passport is required for travel to Mexico. Processing times can vary, so we suggest applying early. If it's your first time applying for a passport, you'll need to do so in person. More details can be found here: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports/how-apply.html .

WHERE SHOULD I STAY DURING THE WEDDING WEEKEND?

Most guests will be staying at the Solaz Resort Los Cabos. Please use the link provided under the Accommodations tab to book a room. Transportation to the wedding will depart from the Solaz resort and return to Solaz after the wedding.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS TO SECURE THE SPECIAL WEDDING BLOCK RATE?

You must stay at least three nights to get the special rate. You may also use the special rate to book rooms 3 nights before the wedding weekend and 3 nights after the wedding Oct 27 - Nov 5, 2025.

HOW DO I GET TO & FROM THE AIRPORT?

A shuttle service is the best way to get to and from the airport. We recommend booking transportation through Impala Transportation services from the Airport to the hotel, as Uber can be difficult and unreliable in Cabo. Please see the Travel and Accommodations tab for our special wedding rates with Impala.

WHERE ARE THE CEREMONY AND THE RECEPTION TAKING PLACE?

The wedding ceremony & reception will be held at Acre Resort : C. Rincón de las Animas S/N, Animas Bajas, 23407 San José del Cabo, B.C.S., Mexico

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

Black Tie Optional. Both the ceremony and reception will take place outside (lawn). We recommend a wider heel, or a block heel or wedge heel. We will provide clear heel covers for the ceremony for guests wearing stilettos.

CAN I BRING A DATE?

Our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We'll only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation, which will be sent in the following months.

DOES CABO HAVE UBER?

Yes, Cabo has UBER, but please be aware that the cars they drive are much smaller than the ones in the United States and they currently do not have UBER XL, so the maximum number of people will typically be 3 to a car. We do not recommend taking UBER from the airport. Please see the Transportation section to book through Impala Transportation services.

ARE THERE OTHER EVENTS ASIDE FROM YOUR WEDDING THAT I CAN ATTEND?

Yes, check out the "Home" tab for details!

WHAT SHOULD I DO IF I CAN’T MAKE IT?

You'll be missed! If you can't make it, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly.

IS IT SAFE TO DRINK THE WATER?

As a rule of thumb, stick to bottled and purified water in Mexico. The water and ice served in the resorts and popular restaurants is purified. Bottled water will be provided in the rooms. It is not recommended that you drink water from the tap in your room. For more information, visit: https://www.tripsavvy.com/can-i-drink-water-in-mexico-1589019
